Dive Into Summer: South Coast Swim Lessons 2026

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Redwood Coast Recreation Center (RCRC) is able to facilitate our community’s free kids' swim lessons this summer! Keeping our local kiddos safe and confident in the water is a mission close to our hearts, and we can’t wait to see everyone poolside.

A Community Effort This program truly takes a village (or a coast!) to stay afloat. We would like to extend a massive thank you to:
• Barbara Burkey: Our incredible lead facilitator whose dedication makes this entire operation possible.
• Our Generous Donors: To the many community members who stepped up financially—thank you for ensuring this program not only continues but is expanded for more students and offered for FREE for all families.
• The Sea Ranch Association: We are deeply grateful for their continued support and for generously providing their pool facilities at no cost.
The Details: Mark your calendars! Lessons will take place at The Ohlson pool in The Sea Ranch Monday through Friday from June 15 – June 26 in between 12:00 -3:00. The ½ hour lesson slots will be coordinated by our swim instructors and you will be informed of your exact time slot before classes begin. We do our best to get kids into the appropriate class for their skill level but there may be some adjustments after a class or two. ALSO we hope to offer these classes every year so any donations towards this cause can be sent to RCRC PO box 502 Gualala CA 95445 or paypal donations can be made on our webpage. These funds will be earmarked for swim lessons only

SEA RANCH ASSOCIATION POOL RULES

• NO FOOD or beverages, except water in plasic bottles.
• No running, pushing, throwing objects in pool area or dressing rooms.
• No large flotation devices or large play toys.
• Shower before using pool.
• No street clothes. No nude swimming.
• No smoking,
• No animals except service animals.
• Kids are only allowed in the pool during their swim class lesson
